While conducting business with MIT, the Institute anticipates all suppliers will act with professionalism and respect toward all members of the MIT community and physical spaces. All suppliers will be expected to follow the guidance and policies below.

  • No kick-backs: MIT purchasers are prohibited from accepting money or compensation of any kind for favorable consideration from a supplier.
  • Conflicts of interest: MIT officers, faculty, staff, and others acting on MIT’s behalf have an obligation to avoid ethical, legal, financial, or other conflicts of interest and to ensure that their activities and interests do not conflict with their obligations to MIT or its welfare.

Consistent with expectations for employees, suppliers are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times. Learn more about professional behavior policies on the MIT Policies website.
