New Sales Tax-Exemption Certificates Issued

Published on

New, updated sales tax-exemption certificates are now available.

MIT’s existing state sales tax-exemption certificates will expire October 16. New, updated certificates (Forms ST-2, ST-5, and ST-5C) have been issued and are now available on the VPF website (Touchstone login required).

MIT is exempt from paying sales tax in Massachusetts and 29 other states. When making purchases with a pro-card, you are responsible for making sure merchants are aware of MIT’s tax-exempt status and providing the necessary documentation. It is crucial that your suppliers have the most up-to-date tax-exemption certificates before the October 16 expiration date to avoid any interruptions in service or incurring any unallowable sales tax.

The new certificates are valid until September 2034.
